Deepening of river beds and hydro schemesBlast Design have carried out blasting for the installation of hydro schemes throughout Scotland. We have also used pioneering techniques in river deepening and stepping of waterfalls which allow migratory fish species (such as salmon) to return upstream in greater numbers. This work has been carried out with Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board. Recent work includes 'Cargill's Leap' on the River Ericht and falls at Glen Tilt, just below Loch Loch.
